Our Principles

We Pledge To...

    1.    ENCOURAGE INNOVATIVE AND FISCALLY RESPONSIVE GOVERNMENT.
Our local government must look for ways to become more productive through the use of technology and an emphasis on getting more out of every tax dollar it receives.  The core functions of town government must be reassessed and prioritized in order to eliminate redundancy, waste and inefficiency.  We encourage free-market competition, whenever possible, as the best way to deliver taxpayer-funded services.  We cannot rely on increased support from our federal and state government.  We support the idea that more dollars should be retained by us through a policy of reasonable spending reductions.”

    2.    SUPPORT A QUALITY EDUCATION FOR EVERY CHILD.

“We encourage our local school system to look for innovative, cost-effective solutions to achieve this goal.  We support an innovative and cost-effective public education system where children are offered a challenging curriculum, gain essential knowledge, and develop the skills necessary to achieve their full potential.  This system must provide the future leaders of our nation with not only facts, but also the ability to reason and think coherently.”

    3.    PROMOTE THE CONSTITUTIONAL PRINCIPLES THAT ENCOURAGE GOVERNMENT THAT IS CLOSER TO THE PEOPLE.

“We must provide an environment at the town government level that values the rights of every person regardless of race, creed, age, sex or national origin.   Town ordinances and regulations must strike a balance between legitimate government interests and our sacred obligation to protect the individual freedoms of our citizens.   Local land-use restrictions must serve vital public interests, not political whims or partisan ideologies.”

    4.    ATTRACT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.

“We will encourage economic development by reducing or eliminating unwarranted bureaucratic barriers to business, commerce and free market competition.”
