Office:	Board of Finance

Objectives:	The balance between taxes, development and capital spending on public projects needs to be carefully managed to avoid the problems that have affected other towns in the State. Thanks to sound Town fiscal management, we are fortunate to have in place an excellent bond rating, and the Board of Finance is looking at ways to obtain further ratings upgrades. A better bond rating means that we can apply the money we spend as a town more efficiently, ultimately reducing the need to increase taxes to cover higher interest payments on public debt.
