| Achievements: | Paul’s record of accomplishment transcends the private and public sectors. Having served as VP and Executive Vice President for several major corporations over his career, he remains actively sought as a consultant and speaker within the packaging industry, even in retirement. Locally, Paul is completing a four year term on Newtown’s Board of Education. He and Maxine, his wife of 46 years, have three grown children and six grandchildren. |
| As Selectman, Paul plans to draw on his general management skills to advance our Town’s position educationally, fiscally and culturally using a combined approach of open planning and disciplined execution. He believes that government leaders have a responsibility to communicate actively with the public they serve. His private sector experience has ingrained in him a fiscally conservative orientation that will drive him to demand a greater return for Town expenditures. He believes we must prioritize our needs and make hard choices based on our ability to pay, without mortgaging future generations, or driving our seniors out of town. | |
