Office:	Board of Assessment Appeals

Objectives:	Marianne has enjoyed the opportunity to serve on the Board of Assessment Appeals. The two years following the state-mandated revaluation of real properties proved to be a lengthy and tedious task. But with great determination, Marianne and her colleagues strived to bring balance to the many aspects that affect values. She will continue to work closely with her fellow members and the assessor's office to make sure the residents of Newtown are fairly assessed on their real and personal properties. Having over 20 years of accounting experience, she has and will continue to provide a logical and scientific approach to the review of cases brought before the board.

Qualifications:	Accountant, self-employed, serving clients in Fairfield County 2001-present Logistics Manager, Kalama International, Stamford, CT 1997-2003 Logistics Manager, Pacific Forest Resources, Norwalk, CT 1994-1997 Bookkeeping and Staff Accountanting for various companies in RI and CT 1987-1994 Member, Water Sewer Authority of Newtown Secretary of the board of Newtown Newcomers and Neighbors Club Member, Sigma Kappa Sorority, Phi Chapter, University of Rhode Island
