Legislative Council

The Legislative Council is Newtown's Fiscal Authority, responsible for sending budgets to the voters and approving the Capital Improvement Plan.  It also has legislative powers and is responsible for creating ordinances.  There are three Council Districts covering separate geographic areas of Newtown.
