Planning and Zoning Alternate
My name is Pete Radzwillas. I am a USAF veteran, long-time builder/designer, and have deep family roots in the Fairfield County area. I was born and raised in Monroe, CT and went to Masuk High School. I lived in Shelton up until about 2 years ago when I moved full-time to Newtown. My wife and I live on Lake Zoar in the Sandy Hook section of town and love enjoying the lake with our children and grandchildren throughout the entire year. We also enjoy hiking along the Paugussett State Forest trails. I have previously been on the board at the McGivney Center in Bridgeport which helps underprivileged children in the Bridgeport area and currently am on the Board of Directors for Awake Tomorrow, a foundation dedicated to Fentanyl awareness. This will be my first time running for any type of public office.
Over the last 24 years, I have been a home builder/ remodeler in the Fairfield County area and have helped many of my clients maneuver through the Planning and Zoning process. I believe my experience will be a tremendous asset when dealing with fellow homeowners and business owners in our town. I started my company in 1999 as a small remodeling contractor and have grown it over the years to not only build homes and complete hundreds of projects but also now own a retail design firm specializing in kitchen and bath cabinetry, countertops, and hardware.
Having come from a neighboring town in which I feel has tremendously over developed I believe I would be a great selection for anyone who appreciates the beauty and charm of Newtown and would do whatever I can to help preserve that.
