Early Voting Begins October 20th
Election Day is Tuesday, November 4th
Make sure you are registered to vote!
Your VOTE makes a Difference!
If you are going away and would like to vote in an Election, when available complete your Application for Absentee Ballot and mail it to the Town Clerk, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, CT 06470 or deposit it in the ballot box located at the North and South entrance of the Municipal Center.
Absentee ballots for the November 4th Election will be available October 3rd. Absentee ballots must be must be received by the Town Clerk no later than 8:00 p.m. on November 4th, 2024

An absentee ballot may be applied for by any qualified registered voter unable to vote due to the following reasons:
Active service in the Armed Forces of the United States
Absence from the town
Sickness
Physical disability
Religious tenets which forbid secular activity on the day of the election, primary or referendum
Duties as a primary, election or referendum official at a polling place other than my own during all of the hours of voting
ELECTION DAY - TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4th
Polls will be open at 6:00 A.M.
and will remain open until 8:00 P.M.

District 1-6 and 1-7 - Newtown Middle School
District 2-6 - Newtown High School
District 3-6 - Reed Intermediate School
