Rance has been a Newtown resident since 1990.  He lives with his wife Amy, daughters Caitlin and Lauren, and his step-son Vinny.  He has been the owner and operator of Cleancut Lawn & Landscape, LLC since 1991.  Rance attended Western Connecticut State University, majoring in Business.  He serves on the Parks and Recreation Committee.  He was a board member of the Newtown Scholarship from 2016-2022.  He has been a charitable contributor to Newtown Scholarship, Dreams Come True, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Newtown Underwater Search and Rescue and the Police Athletic League, as well as many other local charities.
